How much can I borrow? KALP calculator with worked examples
Christoffer Ohlander
KALP (Kvar Att Leva Pa, roughly “left to live on”) determines how much a Swedish bank will let you borrow. The bank subtracts housing costs and living expenses from your income — calculated at a stress interest rate of 6–7 %, not your actual rate. The result must be positive for the loan to be approved. With BoKalk you can run a similar calculation yourself, without BankID and without contacting the bank.
