Delete your BoKalk account
This page applies to the BoKalk app from Hieratek AB. You can delete your account and your data yourself in the app, or request deletion by email without having the app installed.
Delete in the app
- Open BoKalk and go to Settings.
- Select Account & subscription.
- Select Delete account and confirm.
The deletion starts immediately and cannot be undone.
Request deletion without the app
Send an email to [email protected] with the subject "Delete account". Preferably write from the email address linked to the Google or Apple account you use to sign in to BoKalk. You can also write from another address, for example if you sign in with Apple and chose "Hide My Email". We then reply with a check that confirms the account is yours before anything is deleted. We respond to your request within 30 days.
You can request deletion of individual data in the same way, without removing the account.
An anonymous account, used without signing in, is tied to the app on your device and has neither an email address nor any other detail that identifies you. If you still have the app, delete the account in the app using the steps above. If you no longer have the app, neither you nor we can tell which anonymous account is yours, so we cannot delete it on request. It is then deleted automatically after 90 days of inactivity. You are welcome to contact us at the address above if you have questions.
What is deleted
- Your user account and your account details.
- Households that you own, with the household's financial details.
- Saved homes and calculations in those households.
- Logs and counters linked to your user ID.
- Your subscriber record at our payment service provider RevenueCat.
Personal data is deleted or de-identified within 30 days, with the exceptions below.
What may remain
- A deletion marker with the user ID and the time of deletion. It is kept without a time limit so that the data stays deleted even after a restore from backup.
- Encrypted backups, which are deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Accounting-related records, such as subscription receipts, for 7 years under the Swedish Accounting Act.
- Data that you have entered in a household owned by someone else. It belongs to that household and remains with the owner. If you want it removed, ask the owner to remove it, or contact us.
- Bug reports that you have sent. The text remains, without a link to your account, until the issue is resolved.
- Anonymous usage statistics already sent, without a link to your account.
The subscription is not cancelled automatically
An active subscription is managed by Google Play or the App Store. Cancel it there to stop future charges. Deleting the account does not cancel the subscription.
More about how we process personal data is in the privacy policy for the app.
